This winter my friend Alana came to Novi Sad, my hometown with me. Here are some of our adventures.
Then after I threw our one set of keys onto the roof, this is how I came in and out of the house. Needless to say, attentive Alana caught it all on camera.
Senka Kovacevic lives in Vancouver, British Columbia and currently works as an Art and
Antique Conservator. Born in Novi Sad, Serbia, she moved to Canada in 1988. She pursued a
10 year career in Rhythmic Gymnastics, representing Canada as Canadian Champion, competing
at the 1999 World Championships and many other international competitions. She
performed with Cirque du Soliel for the APEC Presidential Gala, is a 3-time recipient of the
Premier’s Award for Excellence in Sport, and was nominated for YWCA’s Woman of Distinction
Award in 2001. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy and Physiology from
the University of British Columbia, and in 2006 wrote and directed her first feature length
film. Where The Sun Reposes is her first book of poetry.
